Students in the Master’s program in Immunology visited the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) in Leipzig and gained insights into current research projects as well as career opportunities at the institute.

For more than two years, a couple from the region had been hoping to have a child of their own. After receiving medical assistance at the fertility clinic at the University Women’s Hospital, facing setbacks, and showing great perseverance, their dream finally came true: On May 20, 2026, their son Aron was born healthy.

AI is bringing about lasting changes to medical education and opening up new opportunities for teaching and learning. At the 2026 Teaching Day, more than 50 participants discussed current developments, challenges, and specific examples of application. Three keynote presentations highlighted how artificial intelligence is already shaping everyday learning and the potential it holds for the education of tomorrow.
